NSR: Doves "Kingdom of Rust"
This is what I'm talking about. Doves are back with that north country twang and I'm super-stoked, partially because they are one of the best live acts around but mostly because my missus loves them and I may be able to use their return for my own nefarious, marital means.

I've always liked these guys. I know lots of people didn't care for anything after Lost Souls, which was an awesome record. But Some Cities was excellent, particularly the Northern Soul-tinged "Black and White Town."
BTW, for those of you who may like Swervedriver, some label just re-released the first two records. Raise is one of the all-time great British rock records, in my opinion.

Rave Down, Duel, and Son of Mustang Ford were the holy trinity of driving songs back in college.
Just yesterday I was wondering when I'd be able to hear some new Doves! Seriously.
They also have another track, "Jetstream", available on their site if you give them your email address. So far I like what I hear of the new album. Can't wait for the full release.
My college drive songs normally involved Catherine Wheel, The Housemartins and The Beautiful South. I ignored the Marxist references.
Can't agree more, the Doves rock.
