MLS Man to Man City? So Says the BBC.

Gazidis

You have to be careful when putting much stock in rumors emanating from the U.K. And even though this one is coming from the BBC I'm still skeptical since it's listed in the "other gossip" section, but hey, who knows. It would be a little more believable if they spelled his name right though.

It would be kind of funny though that this year's biggest & only MLS transfer to the EPL would be an executive. It would also be one hell of a testament to the league's leadership and it's abilities, contrary to what the message board mafia might tell you.

I think this rumor is pretty solid. It's no wonder they want to get Gazidis. SUM aside (which is pretty impressive by itself), he 'knows' about the international transfer market, dovetailing nicely with ADUG's desire to build a fantasy football team. And he's an American exec., probably having a greater grasp on branding that the other names rumored to vying for the same position.

He has been rumored and I think was offered the same position before but he did not take the position. In the past, he has stated that he supports Man city as a fan but chose to stay with MLS to help with its continued development. Who knows now with all that money floating around but like the past, he will stay with MLS.

Gazidis grew up in Manchester, that's why he's a City supporter - they've always been his team, especially during his youth soccer days when he even once played at Wembley!

could just be a rumor, but there are enough circumstances to warrant some consideration of its truth!
