Video: Kickin' It With Allen Hopkins
I think I would really love the chance to "kick it" with Allen Hopkins. He seems like an amiable & educated fellow like myself. I'd like to imagine that he and I could sit around a table over high-ball drinks and discuss the intricacies of MLS transfer guidelines, how Robin "Sweet Dick Willy" Harris died before his time, why Jeff Cunningham should have never left Ohio and our favorite social movements of the 60's & 70's. Then he'd drive me over to Drew Carey's place so we could reenact the old Coke commercial with the Grambling State marching band in an attempt to get him to hire them as the Seattle Sounders marching band.
Damn I need a friend...anybody got his number?

Maybe you could also correct Hopkins too, since Kerry Zavagnin, NOT Davy Arnaud was the one that became the Wizards all time minutes leader.
So much for being educated, but at least he sounds professional.
Not to mention that the word "appearance" is grossly spelled wrong in the RSL segment. So much for looking professional also.
I swear this blog has more amateur copy editors than a college newspaper.
They're just jealous 'cause Hopkins gets paid.

If he gets paid, the least he could do is fact check his stuff before he makes those things.
Why should he waste his time with that when he's got you to do it for him?
why not be jealous for a guy who does a crappy job but somehow milks money out of it? nothing like professional frustration to drive someone nuts.
allen hopkins does a piss-poor job on air and there are loads of people who are better on-air than him. he provides no insights and is incorrect with his information, so why would someone pay him to be on-air?

He's got a nice smile, that's pretty much all you need in TV but that's another topic entirely.
And I'm fairly certain he's not tasked with spell-checking the graphics over the videos...surely someone else does that.
i'm gonna go with sf. i dont mind hopkins. there are deff worse people out there (wynalda? messing?). last year during the super liga he did some play by play and was really good, i'd like to see him do more of that.
people just hate on him cause hes not british.

How tall is he? I just saw him interview McBride and Arena and both of them were towering over Hopkins.
