Video: Timbers Army All Up in Seattle's House Like Termites

The video above is from the final Timbers Army trip down to Seattle for a USL game. Last week 3 bus loads of PDX punks rolled up to King County to scream, sing, shout, and chant their side on against their hated, MLS-bound rivals. I love it. It makes me get all teary-eyed.

I know that to the uninitiated watching USL 1 games can be a bit of a hard work, but I would encourage you to watch anytime that Portland (or Montreal) are the home team. They have atmosphere engaging enough to grab the neutral fan.

This Friday's FSC game is actually s--tle @ Vancouver. The Timbers play the Whitecaps on Saturday here at PGE (which will be shown on Fox Sports Northwest, regional cable ftw).

Our first FSC game is next week, when we travel to Montreal to own the new Stade Saputo.

With Garber's recent comments indicating MLS will field up to 22 teams by 2012 and Portland being one of 6 cities vying for expansion, it looks certain that this won't be the last trip to Qwest after all.

Thanks for givin' luv to the T.A. (throw in a little T and A and it would be perfect). What Garber has to wake up and realize is that an energized fan base will lead to all the other goals the MLS is looking for (TV contracts, Sponsors, etc.). For example, look at Toronto. Don't you think a sponsor or TV sees crowds like that and says, "I'd like to be a part of that?" And Portland has the energized fan base.

Actually it's "up" to Seattle. They're about 200 miles north of us.
