About That Kanye Show (Just So You Know)

It was pretty damned good, but I think the hype was too great. Without the hype, I would have thought this show was A-mazing. But for all the talk I was expecting a Biggie walk-on and for Obama and Hilary to hold a freestyle battle to decide the nominee. Instead we had 90 minutes of Kanye's 'lost in space' one man show.

What is worth seeing for sure was N*E*R*D. 'Everybody Nose' annihilated the room in a way that was truly unexpected. If you haven't heard it yet, check the video above.

I was goona hit that show up. Throw in The Roots and it would be my "urban alternative" Mt. Rushmore . . .but efph that. Kanye & Co. extorted the NY area with those ticket prices. Unless MLK came down to spit a hot 16, no show is worth that much. I'll give my money to Rock The Bells this summer.

Just on someone dropping the Roots here... that's a show you have to see. They were in my area for free a few weeks ago, I found out an hour before the show, dropped everything I was doing and hit it up...

...half the crowd wasn't feeling it, but I totally was... with a paying crowd, you might have the time of your life.

Anyone who bitches about sampling/loops/etc in hip-hop needs to go back and find out how any why the music started in the first place before they complain.
Daft Punk gave him clearance, we acknowledged the whole way and even appeared live with him to perform the song on TV (which they NEVER do). If they're fine with it, you should be too.

As a Metrostars fan, you should probably know that Steve Jolley went to same high school as Chad Hugo

Everybody Nose is good but that's because N.E.R.D is fun to listen to.
