Now if you look at that photo above you will notice that Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo no longer looks like Buddy Holly. He kinda looks more like a smarmy guy from the 70's named Stew but that's either here nor there.
That photo was of a triumphant moment for him when he scored the opening goal at the Mia Hamm-Nomar Garciaparra Celebrity Soccer Challenge in LA a while back, which was a bit of a big deal for the emo godfather and LA Galaxy season ticket holder. Why? Watch his new video for the tenderly-titled song "Lover in the Snow" and all will be revealed.

In another in a seemingly endless stream of weird coincidences, the song "Getchoo" came up on my shuffle mere moments before I looked at my feed reader and saw this post.
This post has spurned me to break out a CD i havent spun in months: Weezer's best LP, Pinkerton. Don't flame me because i didn't say the blue album, every song on pinkerton is about chicks and emo feelings...can't beat that.
I thought he'd be decent after watching him juggle, but seeing the game video...yikes.
I was kind of upset the video was to "Lover in the Snow." The song deserves a much better video.
And yes, Pinkerton > Blue Album. And anyone that likes "Beverly Hills" should be shot.
