PTI Confuse Tifo With Hooliganism
I know I shouldn't even address such this but the talking heads on PTI are equating a smoke bomb with the potential rise of hooliganism in America. In other "let's just create a story" news O.J. is facing thievery charges, so obviously L.A. is about to burn again. Word is that Paris Hilton is stocking up on canned goods and shotguns as we speak.

God, enough with the asses busting on soccer. It's why I don't watch sportscenter or PTI or any of that crap.
Hooliganism is unruly and destructive behaviour, usually by gangs of young people. That's straight out what this is, you can flavor it however you'd like.
As for 'busting' on soccer, Dan Lebatard point blank says, 'this is a manufactured story, drummed up by the media'.
One last thing; soccer in the US used to be considered an elitist, rich, white suburban sport for childern and girls who couldn't make the volleyball team. That thinking is changing quickly, and thankfully so. But as it does, the crowds and attitudes of the crowds are going to change. And with that
a tougher, more passionate fan base. Cleveland Browns fans used to toss batteries & snowballs with rocks in the middle at opposing players. If in the future you were to expand in Cleveland, that's going to be part of your fan base. Same in Philly (jail in the stadium), Detroit (Ron Artest), LA (The black Hole!)etc. It's not a knock on soccer. Humans, by nature it self, are hooligans. Especially when competition is involved.
There was Hooliganism at the SuperClasico. Chivas fans were upset at the racist comments by LA fans, plus the added media love towards LA, and they threw Frozen Beer cans and Bottles at LA fans. The Irony is that it proves that the MLS has some very passionate fans and proves Eurosnobs wrong, but they could have just left it in the stands and chanted insults. The Illegal Immigration battle is going to make Chivas fans very upset and maybe the most angry in America.
Geezz Mareez, how are those las chivitas fans going to feel when Dynamo, with its passionate Latino fan base, schools them in the playoffs?
Again.
There is no hooliganism in American sports remotely similar to Europe, though there have been plenty of violent incidents, notable most remarkably for their scarcity. After Pachuca beat Dynamo here in Houston, my Dynamo buds and I sat down with some Pachuca fans and talked over what was a fantastic game. We all took pics of each other and had a great time. This is normal, and thus is not news. Can we get on with the games now?
bags of urine thrown in the US? please thats just hearsay. someone fill me in to a quote by a player, not something they heard from a fan.
central/south america, yes.
For everything one side of ESPN sems to be doing to promote soccer and show that they are supposedly soccercentric, they have this fucktards on that go and ruin it.
I hate stupid people.
